-During the 20th century, Asian people began to want independence from European countries.
-Australia became a semi-independent state in 1901.
-Australia’s foreign policy in the late 19th century proved that they were sub-imperialism and not anti-imperialist.
-The key issues in australia were land and labour.
- In Australia it was difficult to turn the Aborigines into labourers, therefore the labour had to be imported.
-The imperialist who invaded australia were the british people.
-The invasion took place in the late 18th century, this is when the british people took over.
-The british people used ships to get australia, when they got there they ended up wanting to stay there because they used the land a lot.
-After the invasion the british people started a government and it was run by the british King and Queen.
-Just like every other developed capitalist economy, Australia was dominated by monopoly capital in the 20th centruy.
-During World War I Australians began to start their own colonial and neo-colonial empire.

-During the 1920's and 1930's Australians played the role of junior partner to british imperialist.
-Today Australia is willing partners with the United States military power.
